Used to describe someone who is reluctant to spend money, akin to 'stingy' or 'tightfisted' in English.
No seas codo, invita la siguiente ronda.
Don't be stingy, buy the next round.
Mi tío es muy codo, nunca nos lleva a comer fuera.
My uncle is very stingy, he never takes us out to eat.
